Review of Martin Scorsese’s 1995 Casino [A mob movie that has many actors that will go on to be in the Sopranos].

mods please lmk if this violates the rules. i’m posting here because I write about the mob/casino and many relevant themes that are important elements of the Sopranos, in my opinion. I think they’re of the same medium and genre so wanted to post here. Hope that’s alright. Cheers! (11 min read) ————————————————————————
EDIT 2: TL;DR -
Casino is a story of sexual and financial intrigue, mob violence, union pension fund embezzlement, a “love” story, and the protagonist's masochist addiction to the pain and chaos his lover inflicts on him. It turns out that the sharp-minded genius who meticulously runs the casino, is no more rational than the gamblers who routinely frequent the casino, coming back to lose their money and hoping that the odds will magically shift in their favor.
———————-
Every good filmmaker makes the same movie over and over again—Martin Scorsese is no different
Scorsese's Casino is a phenomenal story of the condoned chaos and "legalized robbery" that happens on a daily basis to gamblers who bett away thousands of dollars and return each day for more “FinDom,” but without any of the sexual sadism. The whole scam only persists because the house always wins: the odds are stacked 3 million to one on the slot machines, but the same shmucks return wide-eyed each day hoping for a different outcome, devoid of any rational re-evaluation required to maintain their grasp on reality, and the liquidity of their bank accounts.
Robert De Niro plays Sam "Ace" Rothstein, recruited by his childhood friend Nick "Nicky" Santorno to help run the Tangiers casino, which is funded by an investment made with the Teamsters’ pension fund. Ace’s job is to keep the bottom line flowing so that the Mafia's skimming operation can continue seamlessly. De Niro's character felt like half-way between Travis from Taxi Driver (of course, nowhere as mentally disturbed) and half of the addictive excess, greed, and eccentric business-mind of Jordan Belfort in The Wolf of Wall Street.
Ace’s attention to detail gives him a rain-man-esque sensibility; his ability to see every scam, trick, hand signal, and maneuver happening on the casino floor make him the perfect manager of the casino, and take his managerial style to authoritarian heights in his pursuit of order and control over what is an inherently unstable and dynamic scheme; betting, hedging outcomes, and walking the line to keep the money flowing and the gamblers coming back. I’m not claiming Ace is autistic, I'm no clinician, but his managerial sensibilities over the daily operations of the casino, from the dealers to the pit bosses, to the shift managers, are to the point of disturbing precision, he has eyes everywhere, and knows how to remove belligerent customers with class and professionalism, but ultimately is short sighted in “reading” the human beings he is in relationship with. Ace is frustratingly naive and gullible in his partnership with Nicky and the threat he poses to him, and in his marriage with Ginger.
Ace has no personal aspirations to extract millions of dollars for himself out of the casino corruption venture. Ace simply wants the casino to operate as efficiently as possible, and he has no qualms about being a pawn of the bosses. While Sam, “the Golden Jew”—as he is called—is the real CEO of the whole enterprise, directing things at Tangiers for the benefit of the bosses “back home.” Ace’s compliance is juxtaposed with Nicky’s outrage upon feeling used: he gripes about how he is in “the trenches” while the bosses sit back and do nothing. Note that none of the activity Nicky engages in outside of the casino—doing the work of “taking Las Vegas over”—is authorized by the bosses. Ultimately Nicky’s inability to exert control over his crew and the street lead to his demise.
In the end, capitalism, and all that happens in the confines of the casino, is nothing but “organized violence.” Sound familiar? The mob has a capitalist structure in its organization and hierarchy: muscle men collect and send money back to the bosses who do not labor tirelessly “in the trenches.” The labor of the collectors is exploited to create the profits of their bosses. The entire business-model of the Mafia is predicated on usury and debtors defaulting on loans for which the repayment is only guaranteed by the threat of violence. But this dynamic is not without its internal contradictions and tensions, as seen in Casino.
In a comedic turn, the skimmers get skimmed! The bosses begin to notice the thinning of the envelopes and lighter and lighter suitcases being brought from the casino to Kansas City, “back home”. The situation continues to spin out of control, but a mid-tier mafioso articulates the careful balance required for the skimming operation to carry on: to keep the skimming operation functioning, the skimmers need to be kept loyal and happy. It’s a price the bosses have to pay to maintain the operation, “leakage” in their terms. Ace’s efficient management and precision in maintaining order within Tangiers is crucial for the money to keep flowing. But Ace’s control over the casino slips more and more as the movie progresses. We see this as the direct result of Nicky’s ascendance as mob kingpin in Vegas, the chaos he creates cannot be contained and disrupts the profits and delicate dynamics that keep the scam running.
Of course I can’t help myself here! We should view Scorsese’s discography, and the many portrayals of capitalist excess not as celebratory fetishization, but a critique of the greed and violence he so masterfully captures on film. See the Wolf of Wall Street for its tale of money as the most dangerous drug of them all, and the alienation—social and political—showcased in Taxi Driver. Scorsese uses the mob as a foil to the casino to attack the supposed monopoly the casino holds on legitimate, legal economic activity that rests on institutionalized theft. When juxtaposed with the logic of organized crime, we begin to see that the two—Ace and Nick—are not so different after all.
The only dividing line between the casino and organized crime is the law. Vegas is a lawless town yes, “the Wild West” as Nicky puts it, but there are laws in Vegas. The corruption of the political establishment and ruling elites is demonstrated when they pressure Ace to re-hire an incompetent employee who he fired for his complicity in a cheating scam or his stupidity in letting the slot machines get rigged; nepotism breeds mediocrity. In the end, Ace’s fall is the result of the rent-seeking behavior that the Vegas ruling class wields to influence the gaming board to not even permit Ace a fair hearing for his gaming license, which would’ve given him the lawful authority to officially run Tangiers. The elites use the political apparatus of the State to resist the new gang in town, the warring faction of mob-affiliated casino capitalists. While the mob’s only weapon to employ is that of violence. The mafia is still subservient to the powers that be within the political and economic establishment of Vegas, and they’re told “this is not your town.”
I’d like to make the most salient claim of this entire review now. Casino is a western film. The frontier of the Wild West is Vegas in this case, where the disorder of the mob wreaks havoc on, an until then, an “untapped market.” The investment scheme that the Teamsters pension fund is exploited for as seed capital, is an attempt to remain in the confines of the law while extracting as much value as possible through illegal and corrupt means for the capitalist class of the mob (and the ultimately dispensable union president). Tangiers exists in the liminal space of condoned economic activity as a legal and otherwise standard casino. While the violence required to maintain the operation, corrupts the legal legitimacy it never fully enjoyed from the beginning. This mirrors the bounty economy of the West and the out-sourcing of the law and the execution of the law, to bounty hunters. There is no real authority out in the frontier, the killer outlaw on the run is not so different from the bounty hunter who enjoys his livelihood by hunting down the killers. Yet, he himself is not the State. The wide-lens frame of Ace and Nicky meeting in the desert felt like a direct homage to the iconic image of the Western standoff. The conflict between Ace and Nick, the enforcer and the mastermind, is an approximation of the conflicts we might see in John Wayne’s films. The casino venture itself could be seen as an analogy of the frontier-venturism of railroad pioneers going to lay track to develop the West into a more industrial region.
I would have believed that this was a documentary about how the mob took over control of the Vegas casinos in the 1970-80s … if it were not for the viewer being expected to believe that Robert De Niro could play a Jew; it's hard to believe a man with that accent and the roles he’s played his entire career could be a “CRAZY JEW FUCK!!” I kid! But alas, De Niro is a class act and the last of the many greats of a bygone era. At times, it felt like Joe Pesci lacked talent as an actor, but his portrayal of the scummy, backstabbing bastard in Nicky was genuinely remarkable, but I might consider his performance the weak point of the movie. It’s weird to see a man that short, be that much of physical menace. There are a number of Sopranos actors in Casino. I’m sure Vincent Chase watched the movie and said to himself, “bet, i’ll cast half of these guys.”The set design and costumes were gorgeous. The styles and fashion of the time were spectacular. Scorsese’s signature gratuitous violence featured prominently, but tastefully. The camera work, tracking shots through the casino and spatial movement was incredible and I thought the cinematography was outstanding, the Western-esque wide lens in the desert was worthy of being a framed still.
The Nicky//Ace dynamic is excellent and the two play off of each other well. The conflict between the two of them escalates gradually, and then Nicky’s betrayal of Ace by cheating with Ginger marks the final break between the two of them. Nicky’s mob faculties represent a brutal, violent theft that is illegal and requires the enforcement of violence by organized crime. Despite the illegal embezzlement and corruption at play with the “skimming” operation at work at the casino, the general business model of the casino stands in contrast to the obscene violence of the loan sharks. Ace operates an intelligent operation of theft through the casino, and his hands-on management approach is instrumental to the success of the casino. Nicky’s chaos pervades the casino, and the life and activities of “the street” begin to bleed into Ace’s ability to maintain order in the casino. “Connected” types begin frequenting the casino, and Ace unknowingly forces one particularly rude gambler to leave the casino, who happens to have mob ties with Nicky. The “organized violence” of the casino cannot stay intact perfectly, because the very thing holding it together is the presence of the mob. Nicky is in Vegas as the enforcer and tasked with protecting Ace but his independent, entrepreneurial (shall we call them?) aspirations lead him to attempt to overtake what he realizes is a frontier for organized crime to brutalize and exploit the characters of “the street” (pimps, players, addicts, dealers, and prostitutes) and the owners of small private businesses.
Nicky is reckless, “when i plant my flag out here you won’t need your [casino/gaming] license” Nicky thinks he, and Ace, can bypass the regulations and bureaucratic legal measures by sheer force of violence alone. But ultimately Nicky is shortsighted and doesn’t have a real attachment to the success of the casino. After all, he isn’t getting profits from it (or much anyway) and isn’t permitted to play a real, active role in its daily functions because of his belligerent, untamed personality. Nicky has no buy-in that would motivate him to follow the rules or to work within the legal parts of the economy, it’s not the game he knows how to play, and win. All that he is loyal to, or deferent too, is the bosses back home; for whom he maintains absolute, uncompromising loyalty to, but still holds intense spite for.
And now to the more compelling element of the narrative. Sam “Ace” Rothstein is positioned as remarkably intelligent, he makes informed decisions that aid in his skill as a gambler, he can read people to determine whether he’s being conned, he has an attention to detail—aided by the casino’s surveillance apparatus which monitors cheating—that is almost unbelievable. Ace knows when he’s being cheated, he knows how to rig the game so that the house always wins, enacting psychological warfare to break down the confidence of would be proficient gamblers, who could threaten Tangiers’ bottom line. But in the end, the greatest gamble Ace makes is his marriage to Ginger. Ginger is the seductive, charismatic, and flirtatious madame who makes her money with tricks and her sexual power. Ginger works as a prostitute, seducing men, and extracting everything she can, almost as a sort of sexual-financial vampirism.
Ginger is the bad bet Ace can’t stop making even when she destroys his life, her own, and puts their daughter Amy in harm’s way. Ginger is the gamble Ace made wrong, but he keeps going back to her every time, trying to rationalize how she might change and be different the next time. Ace is not a victim to Ginger’s antics. Ginger makes it clear who she is: an addict, alcoholic, manic shopaholic who will use all of her powers to extract everything she can from everyone around her. She uses everyone to her advantage and manipulates men with her sexual power in exchange for their money and protection. Ginger had a price for her hand in marriage: $1 million in cash and $1 million worth of jewelry that are left to her and her alone as a sort of emergency fund.
Ace’s numerous attempts to buy Ginger’s love—and the clear fact that no matter how expensive the fur coat and how grand the mansion, none of it would ever be enough to satisfy her—mirrored Jordan Belfort’s relationship with Naomi in The Wolf of Wall Street. Both relationships carried the same manic volatility and conflict over child custody was found in both films, with the roles reversed in the respective films. Ginger may be irredeemable and a pathological liar, but Ace can’t claim that she wasn’t clear with him; when he asked her to marry him, Ginger said she didn’t love Ace. Ace replied that love could be “developed” but required a foundation of trust to develop. That trust was never there to begin with. The love was doomed from the start to destroy the two of them; two addicts, two gamblers, lying on a daily basis to one another and themselves about reality to justify their respective existences, the marriage, and Ace’s livelihood. And as Ginger pointed out, “I should have never married him. He’s a gemini, a triple gemini … a snake” Maybe astrology has some truth to it after all.
Now I’m not licensed (but hey neither was Ace, and he ran a casino empire!), but Ginger has the inklings of a borderline personality: her manic depression, narcissism, drug and alcohol abuse, and constant begging for forgiveness all seem indications of a larger psychological disorder at play. In the end, Ginger runs away with all the money Ace left her and finds her people in Los Angeles, the pimps, whores, and addicts she fits in with, in turn exploit and kill her for 3 grand in mint coins by giving her a ‘hot’ dose.
Overall, Casino is an incredible cinematic experience. I highly recommend watching this and seeing it as part of Scorsese's anthology of commentary on our economic system and its human victims. I’d argue that Casino, Wolf of Wall Street, and The Irishman all fit together nicely into a trilogy of the Scorsesean history of finance and corruption from the 70s to the 90s.

Online crypto casinos and Dogecoin

As I’m new to a lot of the crypto world but feel pretty experienced from a business side, I want to suggest a couple ideas. Everyone’s trying to get Amazon and whoever else large companies to accept doge but that simply won’t happen yet. An idea I had though was to target already established online crypto casinos i.e. roobet. I’m sure the first step to this would be a petition and asking support if they accept doge, but is this something people would get behind, why not make doge the online gambling coin of the future. It would fit the casino/las Vegas theme anyways. If pornhub did it already why wouldn’t roobet.

Relax folks, there are a lot of gamblers who need an outlet. Doggy Coin

There are tons of folks who enjoy gambling. Given all the closures of casinos, gambling destinations "Las Vegas", etc. gamblers still need an outlet. There's nothing wrong with them gambling their hard earned and not so hard money on ponzi, pyramid, pump & dump schemes. Occasionally remind folks if you can it's not smart investing and wish them luck. I would argue it's good for Crypto as a whole because many folks are being introduced to crypto. Truth is many folks have to learn lessons the hard way, not by observing others. Just my 2 shit coins worth.

Casinos have a thousand years of trouble

Marketing to millennials has proven difficult for gambling companies. For those who do not know, the'millennial' period is used extensively to describe humans born between 1980 and 2000. The past generations have fallen into splendor and charm as casino companies grow, but the millennials have not been very accommodating. , And the hassle of marketing for this generation of buyers is unexpectedly turning into a hot button problem for the gaming industry.

Despite the perceptions many older people have of millennials, there is absolute confidence that it could be an important market determining the fate of businesses that are expected to live for a long time to come. Millennials total 87 million people, more than 10 million more than baby boomers. In the next five years, most analysts expect millennials to be the driving force behind almost every quarter of all retail spending.

With these facts in mind, you can see why basic players in online casino companies are concerned. Preferred millennials don't gamble horribly across generations, especially in terms of slots. This fashion can be seen through sales analysis on the Las Vegas Strip. Despite having a much smaller hobby of gambling, young tourists are heading for Sin City in groups, but they are not spending coins at the casino ground. Currently, less than 37% of all revenue generated on the Strip comes from game revenue. Instead, visitors are enjoying, buying, and enjoying the nightlife. For evaluation, 58% of Las Vegas Inn's revenue came from gambling in the 90s.

[Vampire the Masquerade 5th] The Slap that changed everything [medium-long story]

I've been DMing a Vtm 5th Edition group for a few months through Discord and Roll20, since lockdown and distance don't help and I've always wanted to play VTM with some friends who were not into RPGs, but they were always curious about it so we went with it on Roll20.
I'll spare you the details of the group, the players, etc. The setting I've chosen is Las Vegas in a semi-Camarilla environment, events happen after a big power vacuum with the disappearance of the old vampires and all the Prince's court (prince included), but still compliant with the Camarilla's Traditions. The group is composed by 3 new players and 1 veteran player:
Lasombra: the veteran player and particularly strict about the rulebook, a mysterious character, Lasombra are recently introduced in the Camarilla, even though some Lasombras (rare) were already affiliated to Camarilla or its domains. Inclined to use others for his goals.
Brujah: ex fighter and wrestler, ex convict, hot headed due to the temper and the abuse of steroids and drugs in mortal life. He's like super dumb, 1 of Intellect, the max is 5.
Nosferatu: the hacker and infiltrator, paranoid, difficult past both in life and undead life. He always tries to not get involved in messy stuff and events caused by the others, always tries to know more about his teammates "just in case".
Gangrel: Native-American, warrior of his tribe and underground mob, not the most clever guy in the room but cool headed when needed, he's a soldier.
Last session a fifth player decided to join as a Ventrue, with a skillset and game style that lacked in the group, since he's also a friend of the others no one complained and I do not have any issue in having a big group of players when everyone is on board with the idea. The session started with the group, separated, decided to meet in front of a Casino and go to an exclusive club inside in order to proceed with the plot. The 2 groups knew where the club was, they had the invites to go in, everything was in order to proceed. Gangrel player was absent, so he didn't join the group. The main group didn't know Ventrue was going to join them there, but Ventrue knew about them and decided to stay put and observe the situation near the entrance of the club and check if they were gonna arrive.
Main group arrived at the entrance, Nosferatu was the only one who knew were the entrance and told the group about it, but Brujah decided to ask about it to every person he saw with the following line:2
"Hey, where is the Club XXX, moron?"
First attempt: a old german couple, they dismissed him. Second attempt: a group of 4-5 young lads, some of them more built than others.
"Hey, where is the Club XXX, moron?"
The lads shoo him away like "yo old man we ain't staff go ask them, go take a pill ya old dog, leave us alone" Brujah, hot tempered dumbass steroid junkie as he is, grunted something and then this happened
Brujah "I slap him." Me "ehm.. slap him? You sure?" Brujah "yeah I want to slap him" Me "ok, roll Strength+Brawl to hit"
It's not the first time Brujah (or the player behind Brujah since he did the same things with the previous character,) act against random people by wrecking havoc, collateral damages or situations where the other players have to rescue/fix everything he does, usually he kinda becomes a secondary villain, which is ok by me (don't really care, he will pay the consequences of his actions by either NPCs or the other PCs) but it's kinda like a shenanigan that "here we go, he will surely make a mess and grief everyone, the question is 'how' ".
He rolls: 5 successes with a 10 on the Hunger Dice. I roll: 2 successes. Since he had a 10 on the Hunger Dice, this translate in the success of the action, but the Vampire fails to contain his supernatural power or "foresight" the consequences and usually the result is something exaggerated. I described it as "you want to slap him, but what happens is you cannot contain your strength and you basically hit him with your open hand and smash his head inside a slot machine, you hear the Jackpot jingle and coins start to pour out of the machine. The Guy seems out cold with his head inside the slot machine and his body trempling.. but the guy's friends are pissed and start to push and shout at you, the situation is escalating, one of them tries to kick you" Brujah starts to defend himself, but then Lasombra player intervened
"Ok, I can solve the situation again with my Disciplines, I can again fix his messes again, but it seems the player behind Brujah wants to troll and grief everyone, so I'll take my leave. Have fun, sayonara"
He left.
The session ended after 1 hour, where the first half was a discussion about how imparing a blood bond should be (Lasombra blood bonded the Brujah) because the manual is kinda vague about it, the other half was about this... then a discussion happened about how the game should be perceived, what everyone is expecting, etc. There also was some blame game from Brujah about the following: 1. to the DM (me): you always make me roll for stuff, it's your decision to randomize the outcome (yeah, slapping someone without a roll would have the same outcome: try to slap someone in the face in front of his friends!) 2. to Lasombra: why didn't he dominate me? (he got blood bonded 1 time only and complained for 2 weeks straight about it, imagine what would happen to spam-Dominate him) 3. to the game: this game is idiotic because it's idiotic (ok..?) 4. to the players: he started to play to be chill, people should not get pissed off at his shenanigans (after 4 months of trolling and griefing and laughing about it, I honestly think that someone may get pissed because it seems intentional, but I get his point about it)
4 months we've been playing, 4 months there are ingame situations like the one described above. What do you guys think? I may have other crazier stories about this group...

Play Slot Machine Games Online For Free

Joker123 is an online slot machine that you can find on the internet. It is unique because of the fact that it is the first and the only machine of its kind. This is also one of the slot machines that pay in cash and does not use points as its means of payment. This has made it very popular with those who want to win real money but are a little hesitant to do so because of the lack of guarantees. But we all know that with promises come true and this machine is here to deliver on its promises.
Jokers: The name joker is just an amalgamation of two words. "jack" and" Joker" is how it was originally coined by the creator of this slot machine. The machine basically works on a single code that is initially entered by the players. This is an advantage because it means that there are no random numbers generated and there are no luck factors involved.
Slots: This is essentially a casino gambling game wherein a card having a number on it is inserted into a slot machine. When this card spins, the machine will "recycle" through the possible combinations until one is revealed. The possible combinations are not set and are generated based on the set of cards. Each time a player plays this machine, the chances of winning increases because there are more card spins which results in a higher number of jackpots. It is also interesting to note that there are more Jackpots when the machine spins faster. This is one reason why most players prefer joker123 slots over other types.
Bonus: There are a lot of slot games that pay in cash but players prefer to play free slot games because they don't have to put in any money to win. This also allows players to learn how to play the slot game without losing any money. On top of that, since there are a lot of these free games available, it would be impossible for a player to lose everything in the first few spins. Some players can even rack up millions from just playing a certain amount of time.
Games: Casino gambling is very popular especially in Nevada where the gambling industry is regulated by a strict law that prohibits gaming. In spite of this, a lot of people love to play slots because they find the action entertaining and challenging. Playing slot games in Las Vegas is a great experience because casinos offer a great variety of games and even if a player gets bored with the same game, he or she can try another slot. In addition, playing slots in Las Vegas means that all the slot machines in the establishment are progressive which means that they payout in larger amounts than the usual slot games.
Jokers are very funny characters and the theme of the game itself lends itself to a comical and enjoyable experience. The main characters of the game include the Joker, which usually appears as a jackpot prize which player can't seem to resist and the clerk, who always has something that the other players want. In order to win in Jokers, the only way for players to make money is to complete as many tricks as possible or else to beat the current amount of money that the Joker has set as his limit. Jokers always try to get their hands on the more valuable objects inside the casino or else the game will end. However, winning in Jokers requires strategy and careful thought. Players who are familiar with the concept of playing slot machine games can easily win in Jokers as there are no complex calculations involved.

Jokerspine Login - Step By Step Guide

Many individuals often wonder why they should pay to play slot machine games on the internet when they could just do it for free. After all, if you have to play a game using the same secret code that enables you to play in a live casino, there are a multitude of ways that you could just do that right from your very own computer. The truth is that if you want to enjoy a slot machine game without paying an arm and a leg, you should probably do it right from home. Fortunately, it is not that difficult to find free slot machines on the internet, and you will find that these machines give just as much excitement as the ones you would find in real casinos. It is definitely important to be aware of these online slot machine games, so you know what to expect once you log onto the internet for some online slot machine fun.
One reason that it is so easy to enjoy playing slot machines on the internet is because you do not have to travel to Las Vegas or Atlantic City to do so. You can do everything right from your living room, which is an extremely valuable commodity these days. When you have a nice quiet home that you can afford, it makes it easy to pursue your dream of playing slot machines all day without having to spend a dime of your own money. One nice thing about a Joker388 login is that it allows you to login from any computer with an internet connection, so even if you were living in the Midwest, you would still be able to enjoy the game. All you really need is a computer with a sound card, headphones, speakers, and maybe a good Internet connection.
Another reason to consider a Joker Caverns login to play slot games online is because of the benefits that they offer. Many sites like this do not allow people to use their credit cards when they are trying to access the site, so this type of gaming is very secure. The casinos themselves use top of the line security measures to keep your information safe and keep everyone else's information safe as well. This means that if you choose to play slot games on a computer at home, you will never have to worry about your information falling into the wrong hands. This is very important especially now days when so many people have their personal information spread across the internet.
When you login to Joker Caverns to play slot online, you will be asked for a unique email address. This email address will be needed to log into the site and pay any online slot joker123 or any other coins that you wish to bet on. If you use your regular email address for this, then you will have to worry about anyone being able to read it. This is why it is so important to choose a password and username that is completely secure, such as a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numerals, and special characters.
If you are wondering how to memorize the username and password, then the best way to go about this is to pick a name that is easy to pronounce and yet hard to remember. For example, for the Joker Caverns username and password, I would recommend "joker123." Once you have picked this up from anywhere online, then you can just type it in when you login and it should come right back to you. This is the best way to memorize the username and password because typing it in by hand is so difficult to do and remembering a long combination of letters is even harder.
The second thing that you will need is a genuine internet connection. Because playing slot games over the internet is not really something that you will do every day, it is important that you have an internet connection that is fast and reliable. Fortunately, the Jokerspine is connected to several high speed satellite broadband providers in Egypt, which means that you will never be stuck in a place where you cannot access the net. This is perfect for those who are living in rural areas where dial-up connections are too slow to act as effective internet solutions. Therefore, if you want to enjoy your virtual slot experience and log on anytime at home, then you must get yourself a Jokerspine login and try out their casino slot machine now.

drive back to california he missed his baby being born that's why we picked this date early in the month because baby was due on the 18th so we're like okay two weeks plenty of time you know get home and yeah out of nowhere last night all right guys what do you think we should play next all right autumn moon let's do it ah guys i do not really charge 45 dollars a photo you guys can believe whatever you want this one's due i'm into this game for at least a thousand bucks i get this one two oh the better match yeah no no but this one yesterday all right here we go twenty dollars to spend fifty four hundred dollar major hundred and three thousand dollar grand this is slower than like that first [Music] so the floor is 500 on this game unless we decide to play a second round on it so thousand dollar ticket in the floor come on what whoa no oh i thought you had it oh wow how did you screw that up very easily oh i thought i had it thousands left what happened to that 20 orb what happened to that 20 dollar orb tracy if jose twerks upside down like naomi there will be mega booms wow you've been requesting the twerk upside down [Music] diane mccall says whatever rajo says about you after i fell for the malaria hoax [Laughter] so diane mccall says she doesn't believe anything you say about me after she fell for the malaria hoax when you told everybody i had malaria b.o.d uh brandon true b.o.d ah what what grand did you hit the other day when the raja was live it's probably the same as me having malaria whatever that's worth [Music] it's no minor finally [Music] the good news is i don't have malaria currently but the question is are you going to fall asleep 2 000. i knew this game was due ah yeah come on keeping it alive [Music] now i pumped well over a thousand bucks in this game last night [Music] plus in the group paul we didn't do too well either [Music] [Applause] thousand right [Music] oh here it comes 103 000 live let me at least see it i did not see it i got my glasses on and i don't see it again the drama it's left-handed does it work nope i need to mix it up is that what you do in the bedroom people got jokes today come on [Music] hopefully we keep playing well i can pay off my markers it'll be nice [Music] that's something is that tick-tock tick-tock well i only have one phone unlike some people wow you guys both have one phone wait we got so many girls and tracy d if you don't mind sending me a photos later on of all the jackpots thank you all right so the floor is gonna be three thousand bucks one more moon there's still good line hit john johnson boom boom boom in bod's room that's right [Music] yeah this machine was definitely due after i mean carrie watched me struggle on this game last night i mean struggle one more i knew this game had to do a comeback hi there how you doing today good how are you i'm doing well you can't do recording what did this gentleman tell you i'm spitting fake news again i'm gonna have to call security on you that wouldn't be the first time yeah they called him last time when he had those prostitutes you grabbed his hands on his feet caesar's palace was not a good day remember caesar's palace and that lady i was tracy says i'm waiting jose you got this bee all right cash it out so this yeah so yeah this was a new this was a fresh ticket jimmy beauty on ajita keep it up i got your hoodie in my room during his live play i'll get it for you all right cash cove 25 a spin so the floor is just under 2 500. purple and gold saw it's nice wind keep it up i'm going to purple gold and i got jimmy d there you go all right all right so the floor is like 2 400 and change what doesn't want my ticket i did this yesterday too gaming machine unable to redeem at this time that was weird and it took it cash go 25 to spend cash cove just under 2 400 sorry just under 2 500. come on make up make up for you so 24 in change [Music] 100 dollars get it oh but thank you to all the mods help out thank you to kerry all aboard or luxury line tiffany j beauty great live stream can you play some cats all right we'll do cats after this [Music] no thank you nope i'm doing well not drinking anything so i'm gonna hold off as long as we keep winning i will not have a sip of water the entire livestream i am very superstitious [Music] what did he get nice jose is on ajita as tracy d would say this ticket will be put in the bank after this machine is over that's a great observation [Music] [Music] doesn't want me to quit this game i guess no okay there you go all right couple more spins not gonna go below 2400 come on come on all right final spin on this game cash an hour all right all right so that i think it's done all right we're gonna put another thousand dollar ticket in so once again the floor is gonna be um 500 bucks i didn't have to didn't have time to break down the tickets cats here it is somebody wanted cats to send a super chat and i haven't done cats in a while so [Music] 15 to spin [Music] yes that's it i thought it looked it looked a lot better in my mind sometimes the lower bets work better that's a pay line on 15. oh fine don't have to convince me it looks like if i'm a game manufacturer i'm making 15 lines that's not one of mine [Music] yeah of all the games being different heights different angles it's not always the easiest sometimes to uh that's it fifteen all right 30 that's fine 30 bucks on cats ah 200 nice [Music] come on bank the bonus that's good huh 400. nice [Music] that's right johnny milwaukee loves all the games that have cats in it kitty glitter miss kitty [Music] bonus [Music] [Music] what do you think should i play 45 a spin on catch or keep it here at 30. 500 is the floor we're going for that bonus oh yeah 250. i'll tell you what we'll do actually choose the max you can only play 30 bucks so by default oh bonus nope no nope gina anyway can you play black widow uh maybe you'll do some black widow i'll tell you what since we're doing well in the game we'll i don't want to lose any money on this game so we'll set the floor in a thousand bucks so we guarantee we don't lose any money playing cats [Music] i hate to do well in the machine and go broke trying to hit the bonus so [Music] come on okay 200 just for that [Music] and if we break the two 2000 mark maybe he'll set a floor above that come on full screen say meow i likey [Music] so if the raja ever tells you something about me 95 of the time it's not true he said you were an awesome individual b.o.d yep see told you now he knows better than joke about my dogs so oh yeah that's like the one thing he knows so if he says something about my dogs that may be true but besides that i never had malaria [Music] what's not a pay line but this jagged thing is that's bs hey ben hello [Music] don't get called on me kitty cats [Music] all right um is black widow on here all right this game's getting cold i'm going to use this extra 186 dollars for black widow so the forum black widow's still going to be 500. i so whatever that's worth executive vod decision [Music] forty dollars to spend on black widow [Music] the floor is at 500 on the game he's taking some of that extra money [Music] all right a black widow floor is five hundred dollars oh there's yep i that's a lot of people say i look like the purple guy in black widow they're the pink guy does that look like b.o.d what do you guys think i think it is they modeled it after me maybe that's right the raja this is his favorite game because he gets to see me all the time [Music] wow cheryl clark blackwidow be nice to b.o.d thank you we don't think we had a single playback of anything on black widow yet [Music] not a single does black widow hate b.o.d looks like ben affleck oh there we go on the last spin it pays 160 says don't quit on me [Music] ah mark wahlberg all right final spin and we're putting this ticket in the bank for cats and black widow so cats and black widow is done now i did play some um dancing drums earlier today and i got killed 2 000 down on dancing drums so based on that it's dancing drums revenge [Music] time [Music] yeah i saw my afternoon live play we did play some dancing drums so what do i got left 500 500 500 000 so 6500 in tickets i have 2500 left let's just make it easy to put a 500 ticket here so once again guys i had to get some thousand dollar tickets i couldn't get the 500 so that's why we used some tickets twice 1760 a bet and we're going for three if we get it we're going for three the last three games we haven't done anything so we're due for another bonus here jimbo come on drums let's see a bonus i agree timbo so the mini's at 178 miners 626 that seems awfully high you son of a yeah majors at 9 000 yeah we're going for three because that's what i said all right here we go all right big money there we go that's it [Music] yes oh one more dragon that helped 120 yeah 360. [Music] all right 660 dollar bonus [Music] all right we're gonna play some more uh like 750 floor on this game we need some backup spins let's get another bonus [Music] you know screw it we'll do the mystery if we get it again that sounds fine with me mystery if we get another bonus i just hit five drums [Music] all right final spin unless we hit something um [Music] all right whoops says uh [Music] top dollar let's do it [Music] a lot of people like the double top dollar [Music] yeah 210 dollars to spend sorry 10 dollars a credit 20 [Music] we've been doing better on the lower d knobs right now so [Music] she says always double she's an expert so yeah 10's on there i'm putting a thousand dollar ticket in so the floor will be 500. [Music] so it's 20 dollars yes we did some higher spins earlier going backwards still good slide play [Music] carla howard says good luck tonight hashtag bonus time hope you're staying warm up there [Music] carla [Music] oh [Music] [Music] is my card working all right let's see this top dollar logo [Music] so close there we go [Music] almost 2 000 people watching thank you guys for tuning in tonight make the bonus live play from the cosmopolitan las vegas hit that subscribe button keep notifications on because sometimes i do surprise live play like this morning last spin [Music] and i did some like hundred dollar huffing puff this morning all right let's move on to some pinball [Music] two credit pinball we'll do 20 to spin on this too yes we'll do the video poker [Music] let's set pinball yeah uh these old school pinballs you can't see them anymore you don't find them much all the casinos that have them do not get rid of them looks like the new pinball they have it's a little different format 20 to spin so with a three credit pinball you get five shots with two credit pinball you get four [Music] that was 250 okay give this some more ammo to hit this pinball come on come on [Music] ah so close we have 1500 left after this the big jackpot will be live at 5 30 pacific time so [Music] and maybe i'll do some surprise late night live play tonight you never know that's why you have to subscribe and click those notifications on if i do like it yeah yeah it's something i was waiting for like yeah eight grand i'm like my like time just kind of stopped okay for me i'm like is it gonna happen [Music] it is what time what time is it carrie right now i think about five o'clock or so so it's 4 45 yes there we go uh i think i'm gonna keep the ten dollar genome it's working i hate to blow through everything on the twenty five dollar d numb we ain't broke i rather win a little bit of money on a smaller bet than lose more money on a larger bet [Music] yeah maybe some we'll see late no promises i did a surprise live play this afternoon [Music] and it's not a surprise if i tell you happy new year b.o.d and good luck well thank you sonny happy new year to you come on pinball get a couple decent line hips golden nugget that's a casino we're at the cosmopolitan is there a game called golden nugget oh yeah [Music] what was your biggest hit um nice on 15 bets yeah can't beat that [Music] i know where a wild wild nugget is but um some guy last night kept saying wild wild nugget the whole time and it really gave me bad juju and we lost so no wild wild nugget tonight i'm not a fan of that game anyways but we got a come on bonus 80. okay 250 it's a good start come on 80 80 no 500 bucks come on 80 80. Updated Westgate Analysis...

Here are my updated findings in my weekly analysis of performance in the Westgate competition. I get the sense that there is not much of an appetite for it, but I find it incredibly interesting and I suppose I will make this post until you all tell me to go away.
For those that do not know, the Westgate competition is a pretty popular pick'em competition offered by the Westgate Casino Hotel in Las Vegas. Each week, I have been comparing the performance of those leading the competition against those losing the competition to see if there is any evidence that serious betters can reliably beat chance performance over time. You can see more details about this in my previous posts.
A table summarizing my findings can be found here.
Comparison Groups: "Leaders": Those in the top-50ish of the standings (YTD pick accuracy above 70%) "Losers": Those in the bottom-50ish of the standings (YTD pick accuracy under 30%)
Metrics: Consensus Performance: A consensus pick refers to each game in which the majority of the comparison group sided with the pick. This means, the best a group can perform for the week is 16-0. Pick Performance: This is examining the number of bettors on the right side of the pick within each group. This means, the best a group can perform for the week is ~250-0.
WEEKLY FINDINGS: Week-2: The leaders beat the losers in consensus picks (50% to 43%) and overall picks (53% to 45%) Week-3: The losers beat the leaders in consensus picks (50% to 33% and overall picks (47% to 39%) Week-4: The losers beat the leaders in consensus picks (46% to 41%) and overall picks (48% to 45%) Week-5: The losers beat the leaders in consensus picks (67% to 58%) and overall picks (61% to 59%)
YTD FINDINGS: The losers have beaten the leaders in consensus picks (50% to 46% and overall picks (50% to 49%)
CONCLUSION: I think this is pretty compelling evidence that most of us have no ability to beat chance levels when picking against NFL spreads. So far, I have looked at 1,800 picks made by serious gamblers with significant money on the line, and those who had performed at very high levels (70%+ hit-rate) failed to (a) beat a coin-toss strategy or (b) beat a group of terrible bettors. The losers have won the past 3 weeks.
It is still early in the season. Perhaps the cream will rise to the top at some point. But I have a hunch that even going into Week-17, a bettor who has hit at a remarkable rate cannot be reliably counted on to hit above chance levels the following week. We'll see.

DKNG - Fundamental DD Part II - DKNG

Not Financial Advice (NFA)
Warning: Wall of Text. If you hate reading just skim through the bolded/italicized
Ever since I publicized my findings on DKNG, the stock has underperformed & probably has fucked a lot of people here, especially given the overly bullish stance back in June. Unless you took my advice & got into Puts then, congrats, welcome to tendie town. For the ADHD retards, here’s what the next wall of text is going to summarize: I believe at the current price of ~$30, the stock is oversold.
A tech-focused, high-growth Company that has made sports betting easy to understand with an aesthetically pleasing interface similar to how Robinhood has neatly laid out stock market gimmicks so even high-schoolers can make sense of it I believe, is underpriced at these levels.
Let’s get into some details as to why the stock has underperformed:
First off, the news slate revolving sports with the rumored delay/cancellation of the MLB season & the NFL watching from the sidelines is in my view, just a part of why the stock has underperformed. We’ll revisit this later in this post, but I want to focus on the drivers of the stock’s recent underperformance, & why these factors are now in the rearview mirror.
Part I – The Past Has Passed – SPAC-related Equity Dilution
History lesson first: DKNG went public via a SPAC merger, which has exploded in popularity recently. Anyone serious about analyzing stocks going forward needs to do their homework on this, Google is your friend.
A feature of most SPAC merger to public listings that creates a headwind to near-term share prices are embedded equity dilution events, usually in the form of earn-outs (stock bonuses to execs, the SPAC sponsor) & conversion of Warrants.
On 5/24, the earn-outs were triggered, adding 6m shares to the share count.
On 6/26, 16.3m warrants converted to DKNG, netting them ~$188m of cash.
Stepping back a little, in addition to the above, on 6/18 DKNG launched a follow-on equity offering of 16M shares @ $40/Share [1], receiving $621M in proceeds.
The last part is tricky to understand from a dilution perspective. To simplify, historically it’s almost a coin toss whether a Company’s shares outperform on the onset of an equity offering. While issuing shares does dilute the existing shareholder base, it theoretically shouldn’t, if the proceeds from the offering are earmarked for investments/projects that yield outsized returns. This is the reality for the long term, theory for the short-term. For the short-term, the ‘reality’ isn’t that the proceeds will be used for investments/projects that yield outsized returns, it is more about how convincing management is to investors that the investments they intend to pursue with the proceeds will outweigh the dilutive effects of issuing incremental shares. That’s a mouthful, but hopefully you get what I’m trying to convey.
All of this stuff put together – the Company has increased its share count by ~39M, but now has a whopping ~$1.4Bn of cash [2]. More on this in the next section.
Part II – MLB News Should Not Fucking Matter & DKNG Is Positioned As the Leading Online/Mobile Sports Platform
DKNG should not be so tied to MLB news or any of this shit as the ongoing success of the NBA/NHL season + Soccer in Europe has effectively created a blueprint on how to regulate player behavior so that they maintain professionalism amidst the pandemic. I’m going out on a whim here, but I truly think the MLB threatening a cancellation of the season is pure posturing to get these fuckers to behave appropriately. Maybe a ‘bubble’ is what it takes to get these players to focus on their jobs instead of going out & contracting COVID, but I argue that isn’t necessarily required given Soccer in Europe. So there’s already a proven path here without the need for a bubble in Soccer, so MLB/NFL should be fine, and execs need to study how they got it done in Europe. Okay, back to some facts.
Anecdotally, I’ve kept in touch with a handful of sports bookies from California to New York & even internationally about what they’re seeing – all of them say that since the NBA season started on 7/30 & since Soccer (especially the Premier League) resumed in June, along with other leagues like La Liga & Serie A, they’ve seen massive increases in betting.
These numbers are also showing up in the official data [3]:
REMEMBER: This is for June only! No NBA, No NHL, No MLB, just Soccer, Golf, NASCAR & UFC.
The data clearly shows that there was a ton of pent-up sports betting demand, which leads one Wall St. analyst to think that betting on the NBA/NHL could ABSORB the MLB’s sports betting handle (handle = total $ size of sports bet) [5]. Remember, the MLB season is still ongoing, with games being played. The entire focus is on the Miami Marlins & St. Louis Cardinals. Fucking retards.
Additionally, I want to remind everyone that DraftKings.com is the #1 Fantasy sports website in the U.S. [6]. Also, since April 2020 site visitations are up +86% [7] & Google Search Trends for “Draft Kings” is up ~3x compared to PRE-COVID levels [8]. What does this mean? They are piquing more people’s curiosity than prior to COVID/ongoing slate of sports.
This is important because remember that ~$1.4Bn chest full of cash I mentioned DKNG had assembled earlier? Well, that money is being put to work & results are already coming in, which is exactly what DKNG intended to do with it.
Part III – Legalization of Sports Betting in the U.S.
I could write a fucking bible on this topic alone, but for now we’ll stick to some basics. Due to COVID, it’s easy to understand that each State’s financial situation is clearly in shit. Because of this, you better believe that these guys are going to start taking a hard look at how they can extract additional tax revenues, & what’s one of the easiest ways to do this? Legalization & taxation of gambling.
The big players: CA, TX, FL & NY. First, CA pushing its legislation out to 2023 was fucked up, but here’s a twist I want to add to this: Anything that has to do with gambling in CA you better believe is lobbied against by not just the Tribal casino owners in CA, but by the deep pockets of Las Vegas money. Similar thing can be said for FL, but let’s take a look at some actions by LV/nationwide gambling companies that are starting to align financial incentives with guys like DKNG.
So it’s safe to say going forward, nationwide legalization of sports betting will reap rewards for everyone involved, & no longer be something LV money is completely focused on safeguarding.
Let’s also not forget that DKNG didn’t become the Company they are today because of their fancy app, but because their management team has a HISTORY of navigating the U.S.’s legal framework to get what they want out of it.
These guys are at the cutting edge of creating legal frameworks to successfully launch their products & now with more of their ‘competitors’ financially aligned with them, combined with financial deterioration of State budgets, we should see an overweighting of good news vs. bad on the legal front.
Final Part – Share Price Targets
Under-fucking priced at anything below $42.50
Near-term catalysts:
8/14: DKNG files 2Q’20 results, might be shitty, but you can bet that the Earnings Call is going to contain rhetoric on how massive the uptick in sports betting has been since late June/July.
Sometime from now until November: NY releases ‘study’ by Spectrum Gaming on online/mobile sports betting.
8/20 – 9/7: PGA Championship for FedEx Cup Title
9/5 – KY Derby
9/10: NFL KickOff Game
9/17: PGA U.S. Open Start Date
Month of October: NBA/NHL Playoffs
10/1: Estimated launch of online sports betting in TN
11/1: Estimated launch of online sports betting in VA
